The Problem of the Pants

Back in August, Sandy was in Bearlin and had a problem with his pants...
They were starting to split along one seam... not because Sandy had eaten too many yummy German chocolates but because he is a rough-and-tumble bear who is always on the hunt for adventures!
Faced with the prospect of a bare bear bum... Mama took out her emergency sewing kit... put her tongue between her teeth and stitched up Sandy's pants. The job was... adequate... but not... aesthetic!! But... while Mama is not a seamstress, Gramma is!! One night when Mama had already gone to bed, Sandy tugged on Gramma's pants and asked her to fix his pants...
Look!!! You can hardly tell there was every a split there!! And...
Gramma strengthened the seat of Sandy's pants as well because the seam was starting to look weak there too.
And just to be on the safe side, Gramma stitched up the other seam no Sandy's pants... Whew!! He is ready for the upcoming Meh-hee-ko trip!

  2. Wow Sandy, your mom did a GREAT job repairing your pants. We've been looking for a long time for someone crafty who could sew us new clothes, because you can't buy just clothes for we so-very-cute Starbucks bears. We'll let you know if we find a website or someone who makes clothes. Jerry and me get tired wearing the same thing! hehe

  3. @Beanie - thanks! And thanks for the magnet too!

@Jerry & Ben - well... it was Gramma who did the nice stitch-up job (not Mama)! Yes, wearing the same clothes does get to be a drag after a while, especially when one is dressed for winter and it is hot out!

  5. Kudos to Grandma!!!!! She did such a great job, maybe she could make you some new warm weather clothes. Don't know why it took me so long to see this post.

  6. Yup, Gramma can definitely sew better than Mama! We'll see what we can manage for warm-weather clothes... a parka and hat are definitely overkill!
